Heather has worked at Farmers Insurance for over a decade. She began her journey at Farmers as a Customer Service Associate in First Notice of Loss (FNOL) where she honed her communication and problem-solving skills. She then transitioned to a Department Administrator role where she supported Service Operations, which included navigating the unique challenges brought on by the 2020 pandemic and the shift to work-from-home operations. In 2021, Heather advanced to her current position as Executive Assistant for the IA distribution channel at Farmers, where she supports all functional areas within the team. Throughout her tenure, she has developed strong adaptability, organizational, and leadership skills, which have allowed her to contribute meaningfully across multiple departments.
Heather’s dedication and commitment to the organization shines through her work. She’s been recognized by Farmers on numerous occasions, including being a two-time recipient of the Farmers “Claim to Fame” award and the “Widest Net” award, which is part of Farmers’ LEAN initiative. Meaningful awards like this have inspired her to fully embrace the LEAN mindset, leading her to become a LEAN coach, helping colleagues focus on time and cost savings in an engaging and rewarding way.
Heather demonstrates not only a strong dedication to her work but also a passion for fostering employee engagement. She actively participates in the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) at Farmers, including Farmers Pride, the Women’s Inclusion Network (WIN), and the Black Professionals Alliance (BPA) by joining online communities, regularly attending events, and supporting inclusion and belonging overall. In addition, she’s a member of the Employee Engagement Difference Maker Team where she connects with colleagues across the organization, listens to their needs, and advocates for meaningful change. Being a Difference Maker has provided her with a powerful platform to help foster a supportive and inclusive culture at Farmers.
