Farmers®/MetLife Auto & Home® Q&A

Policy Questions:

1
Will my policy or coverages change due to the transition?

There will be no immediate changes to your policy, coverages, or benefits. Our tradition of great rates, extra features, and superior coverages and service will continue as part of the Farmers Insurance Group®. Upon receipt of regulatory approval, the name of your insurer will be changed to reflect the Farmers® brand, or that of its Foremost® affiliate.

2
Will I receive new paperwork showing Farmers as my insurance company? Will my policy number change?

Upon receipt of regulatory approval, the name of your insurer will be changed to reflect the Farmers brand, or that of its Foremost affiliate. Once completed, you will begin to see new branding on your policy documents, however there will be no change to your policy number.

3
Does this change include all MetLife, Inc. products, like life or dental insurance?

No, the transition is only for MetLife Auto & Home's products (excluding legal services coverage, when underwritten as insurance in several states; that will remain with a MetLife company). All other products, including life and dental insurance, will stay with MetLife.

4
Will my premium be affected when my policy moves to Farmers? Will existing policyholders qualify for immediate additional price savings with the change to Farmers?

No immediate changes will be made to your policy premium due to the completion of the sale of MetLife Auto & Home to Farmers Insurance Group. As we move forward together, we are working to deliver the great rates, coverages, and benefits to our customers. Any future changes will occur in the ordinary course of business, such as upon renewal of your policy.

5
Will I need to requote my policy with Farmers?

Upon receipt of regulatory approval, the name of your insurer will be changed to reflect the Farmers brand, or that of its Foremost affiliate. It will not be necessary to re-quote your policy through Farmers.

6
I have an upcoming bill due; will I still send it to the same address?

There will be no changes to how you pay your premium at this time. If you have signed up for automatic electronic payments, those payments will continue as normal (unless you are an employee of MetLife Auto & Home paying through payroll deduction). If you mail in payment, you can send it to the same address you have been.

7
I have a need for a new policy, am I still able to obtain that from MetLife Auto & Home?

Yes, you may go online or call us at 1-800-438-6381 for any new policy needs. If you work with an independent agent, you will continue to contact your agent for service.

9
May I still use my same local agent?

Yes, MetLife Auto & Home's employee agents will become part of Farmers Insurance Group. You will continue to reach your agent the same way you always have without interruption. If you work with an independent agent, you will continue to contact your agent for service.

Discounts Questions:

12
Will I lose my multi-policy discount for having a life insurance policy with MetLife?

We are committed to a seamless transition and assure you there will be no immediate changes to your policy, coverages, or benefits.

13
Will my Deductible Savings BenefitSM transfer over to my Farmers policy?

Your MetLife Auto & Home policy will be coming with you to Farmers Insurance, so there will be no changes to your earned reward.

Insurance Through Your Employer:

14
Will I still be able to pay through payroll deduction?

Yes, Farmers Insurance will continue working with MetLife Auto & Home to work with employers, facilitating the availability of payroll deduction for most of our group customers. However, if you are a MetLife Auto & Home employee AND our customer, you will be invited to enroll in another automatic payment method.

15
Will I still be able to utilize payroll deduction for my personal auto and home policy payments, or will I have to change my pay plan?

If you work for an employer other than MetLife Group, Inc. or Met P&C®, your payroll deductions will continue to be facilitated by MetLife for MetLife Auto & Home for your auto and home policies.

For MetLife Group, Inc. and Met P&C employees: a communication will be shared internally soon, which will outline options and provide information about a care team that can assist with completing changed in payment methods.

16
I currently receive auto and home insurance discounts as a result of my employment or association membership. Will anything change? Will my discounts continue? Will my policy and group rates and discounts be impacted?

We are committed to a seamless transition and assure you there will be no immediate changes to your policy, coverages, or benefits. Your coverage will continue with the same benefits and discounts available to you as a result of your employment or association membership. Of course, policies continue subject to their terms.
