Farmers celebrates 50th year with the Rose Parade by expanding role![]() The Rose Parade, which began in the late 1800s, has become a holiday tradition for many families across the nation. And Jan. 1, 2009, marked Farmers 50th year of participation. We’re celebrating this important milestone by reaching out to assist the talented high school bands chosen to perform at this very important annual event. And we’ll be doing it for the next three years as the Official Insurance Sponsor and the Official Supporter of the Rose Parade Bands. Farmers employees and agents will be helping these bands on their one-year journey — from the day their high schools are notified, to the day they proudly join the parade on New Years Day. District offices and agencies near the bands’ schools will be helping out with such things as fundraising, logistics and getting the word out to local press. The opportunity to support these talented high school bands also gives us a chance to touch local communities all around the country and not just in Southern California. Through the program, we’ll be reinforcing the Farmers brand and promise to participating schools and their districts, and strengthens our image as an active leader in the communities we are proud to serve. |
