Be a Hero for Babies
Now in its 20th year, Farmers’ partnership with the March of Dimes begins with the March for Babies events held throughout the country during the months March through September. Across the country, Farmers people like you will participate as sponsors, volunteers and walkers to raise the funds needed to make sure March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates can continue to work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birthweight.
Farmers people have an outstanding record of volunteer service, contributing their time, energy, talent and financial resources to helping babies. In particular, Farmers created “Be a Hero for Babies Day” to draw attention to the important work of the March of Dimes and to focus our efforts in one big day.
Together, Farmers and the March of Dimes are a powerful team. Farmers is proud to stand behind the March of Dimes in the fight to make sure every baby gets a healthy start in life.

Farmers’ ‘Be a Hero for Babies Day’ raises more than $3.2 million for the March of Dimes
Tuesday, June 3, was a special day for Farmers: our third-annual “Be a Hero for Babies Day.” We pledged to beat last year’s total of $2.7 million for the March of Dimes in one day, and while that may have seemed like a lofty goal, the Farmers family is a special group of people — capable of rising to any challenge.
On the big day, Farmers agents across America held car washes, barbecues, pancake breakfasts, bowling tournaments, fishing tournaments, golf tournaments, raffles, silent auctions, poker parties, and more. By the end of the day, the $2.7 million goal had been surpassed and the total stood at more than $3.2 million.
The money we raised will help fund the March of Dimes’ efforts to get premature babies out of the intensive care wards and home with their parents — where they belong.
To all of you who made a donation — we thank you and the March of Dimes thanks you, too.
