National insurer group to host job fair June 15 at new facility in North Phoenix


Phoenix, AZ (June 13, 2017) – Farmers Insurance® will host a hiring event on June 15 from 3 – 7 p.m. at its new North Phoenix regional office, located at the corner of Pinnacle Peak Road and Interstate 17, as the insurer group seeks to hire more than 400 employees by the end of the year. The insurer group opened a new 150,000 square-foot facility in North Phoenix to help accommodate its growing presence in the area. Farmers currently has more than 800 employees in Arizona, primarily in claims and service operations.

“We are excited to expand upon our existing workforce in the Phoenix area to continue to offer our customers across the country a truly differentiated customer experience,” said Avelluto.

Farmers began operating in Arizona in 1929, and is currently the second largest insurer of homes and automobiles in the state with more than 670,000 policies in force.

As highlighted by the organization in 2016 when construction of the new facility was announced, staffing for new jobs will likely triple the number of Farmers positions in the Phoenix area by 2018. The new Farmers building will be used by the organization to provide operational support for its customers and agents across the country.

In addition to expanding its employee presence in the area, Farmers is also looking to increase the number of agency owners – local entrepreneurs who provide sales and customer support as independent small business owners – across the state.
