Series of Tornadoes Cause Significant Damage Across Oklahoma; Farmers Insurance Claims Team Begins Helping Customers

Los Angeles, Calif. - (March 26, 2015) – Severe weather claimed at least one life and injured multiple others last night in Oklahoma. Tornadoes were reported throughout the state and significant damage was noted near both Moore and Tulsa. In response, Farmers Insurance catastrophe claims representatives, agents, other personnel and resources are engaged and have begun helping customers who suffered damage from the storm.

 

“Our specialized team of catastrophe adjusters has already begun providing assistance to our customers in the impacted areas,” said chief claims officer Keith Daly.“Farmers understands the importance of a being able to provide immediate aid following a disaster like this and we are prepared to dedicate the resources necessary to help our customers.”

 

Farmers has deployed two of its Mobile Claims Centers (MCCs) to the areas of Moore and Tulsa to provide front-line community relief and offer a location for customers to file claims and meet with adjusters. Utilizing the latest in geo-technology, catastrophe claims staff has begun initial damage assessments and pro-active customer contacts to identify customers who may have been in the path of this storm system. Extra personnel are on standby and prepared to deploy, as additional details about the storms and their impact are analyzed.

 

“Helping our customers is our priority and we encourage those who have experienced a loss or have questions about what to do to call our experienced claims team for assistance,” Daly added.
