Customers in States Impacted by April Storms Begin Recovery

Los Angeles, Calif. - (May 6, 2015) – Customers of Farmers Insurance who suffered losses as a result of a severe weather system that moved through a large portion of the United States on April 18, 2015, have begun to recover from the damaging storms. Since the storms struck, Farmers Insurance representatives, agents and adjusters have continuously been assisting customers across the country.
Specialized catastrophe adjusters have been providing assistance to customers in the areas impacted by the storms. According to Farmers Insurance, one key to a quick recovery is a speedy response, which is why Farmers Insurance immediately responds with the resources necessary to help customers.
Farmers Insurance deployed staff to support customers via the Claims Call Centers and in the field. Utilizing the latest in geo-technology, catastrophe claims staff analyzed the incoming claims and deployed resources and personnel to ensure a prompt and efficient response.
Farmers Insurance expects to see nearly 10,000 claims across all 13 impacted states. Insured damages stemming from these series of storms are likely to total approximately $55 million.
Farmers customers who suffered damage from the storms and have not yet submitted a claim may still do so by contacting their agent, via the web site, or by calling the 24-hour claims center.
