Farmers to present awards on Sat., Aug. 27 to local mayors
recognizing the area’s ranking as #1 Most Secure Small-Sized
Cities in America
Residents of the Greater Lewiston/Clarkston Valley are invited to join Beautiful Downtown Lewiston in celebrating Lewiston Hot August Nights 2011 on August 26 and 27 along Main Street and Pioneer Park in the heart of central Lewiston.
“Farmers is proud to be a major sponsor of this great event,” said Kris Pacey, state executive director for Farmers in Idaho. “The Lewiston/Clarkston Valley is filled with many great communities and we are thrilled to offer our support to the local area.”
The Hot August Nights celebration will include a community festival with a variety of sponsor booths and vendor tables from local businesses and community organizations. Attendees can also expect to enjoy lots of great food and displays by local fire and law enforcement officials. In addition, outdoor concerts will be held during the evening at Pioneer Park featuring Patty Smyth & Scandal on the 26th and The Guess Who on the evening of the 27th.
Local Farmers agents and employees will also staff a special Managing Information on Lost Kids (M.I.L.K.) booth where parents will receive a free CD that will enable them to store critical information about their children that can then be shared with law enforcement officials should their children become missing.
On Saturday at 2:30 p.m., Farmers executive Pacey will present special “Most Secure Small Cities In America” plaques to the Mayors of Lewiston, Clarkston and Asotin for having achieved that honor in the 2010 “Most Secure Cities” annual survey sponsored by the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies.
