President and COO of Farmers Insurance, Jeff Dailey, will hold press conference to update company efforts to aid Joplin residents; May 27 at 2:00 p.m.

Media Briefing to be Held Friday in Joplin at Farmers Mobile Claims Center Site

Joplin, MO-- (May 26, 2011) – The President and Chief Operating Officer of Farmers Insurance, Jeff Dailey, will brief members of the media and public officials on Friday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m., in front of the Farmers Mobile Claims Center (MCC) in Joplin. The MCC is located at 605 Range Line Road (the northwest corner of 7th and Range Line).

“We offer our heartfelt prayers to those who have lost so much in this terrible disaster. Farmers was here before the tornado struck, we are here today providing assistance and we will be here as long as needed to help the residents of Joplin recover,” said Dailey.

WHY: Farmers Insurance is one of the largest home and auto insurers in Missouri. President Dailey will be in Joplin on Friday morning to tour the heavily damaged areas of Joplin. He will also meet with the company’s agents, district managers and local claims leadership teams to thank them for the on-going efforts to help Farmers customers and non-customers alike. Dailey will provide a first-hand account of Farmers efforts to reporters and local officials.

"Farmers is proud to announce a $25,000 matching donation to the American Red Cross to help the citizens of Joplin, Missouri and others affected by the most recent tornadoes. We will match every dollar donated by our agents, district managers and employees around the country, and I have no doubt we'll once again witness the generosity of the Farmers family who help every time they are asked."
