Buckle up every time you're in the car, even on short trips: 75 percent of accidents occur within 25 miles of your home.
While frontal air bags are effective in frontal collisions, they offer little or no protection in side impact collisions.
Do not tailgate. Driving too close to the car in front of you is the leading causes of accidents.
