The Boatowners policy
The Boatowners policy provides a solid foundation of coverage for boats up to 40' that are generally older and less expensive. The policy covers you on land and in coastal waters of U.S. and Canada. It provides these types of coverage:

Types of Coverage

	Liability protects your assets when you or someone who borrows your boat causes damage, injury or death while using the boat.
	Medical Payments pays for incidental medical care for you, your guests and family needed as a result of accidents that occur while on board or while boarding or leaving the boat. It also covers injuries to guests while water-skiing.
	Damage pays for damage to your boat, sails, motor or other related equipment, including damage caused by launching or hauling, fire, lighting, explosion and striking underwater objects .
	Theft pays the depreciated value of a stolen boat if it cannot be recovered or pays for damages caused by theft if it is recovered.
	Trailers pays for damage to your trailer.
