Austin, TX (September 6, 2011) – The specially-equipped Farmers Insurance Mobile Command Center (MCC) has arrived in Bastrop and has begun providing assistance to customers and non-customers, alike, impacted by the catastrophic fires that have struck Central Texas.
“We are here to help anyone who needs assistance,” said John Henle, Farmers state executive director for south Texas. “Our hearts go out to all the families who have been so terribly affected by these fires.”

Farmers is also providing help through its Customer Care Vehicle located in Steiner Ranch at 5600 RR 620 N.
The 46-foot MCC bus is equipped with state-of-the-art satellite communications equipment, including satellite-linked cell phones and laptops, water, cold and hot drinks, and emergency supplies. All persons in need of immediate assistance are welcome to avail themselves of the provisions being offered and vehicles’ telecommunications equipment to contact family and friends and to advise worried loved-ones of their location and status.
