During the publication’s 10th Annual Los Angeles Business Journal Hall of Fame Awards luncheon on Tuesday, March 22, the publication honored the top companies in Los Angeles based on research and listings in its annual Book of Lists.
More than 250 chief executive officers and employees from 47 Los Angeles companies attended the luncheon. Farmers CEO Bob Woudstra accepted the award on behalf of the Farmers organization. President of Enterprise Marketing Paul Patsis was on hand as well.
In addition, Tim Leiweke, president and chief executive officer of A.E.G. was named the Businessperson of the Year. During his remarks, Leiweke referenced Farmers as a partner in striving to build a downtown football stadium that once approved and built will be called Farmers Field and bring NFL football back to Los Angeles after a 15 year hiatus. "It won't be easy,” he said, “but with Farmers, Los Angeles banks, the City Council and the community, we can make it happen."
