OLATHE, KANSAS – (February 21, 2011)—Farmers Insurance Group of Companies® in Olathe held a food drive and employees rounded up canned goods and other pantry staples during the week of February 14, as a way to help the food pantry and Salvation Army.
“What a great way to help our community with such a basic need. We know that with spring break coming up, many kids will be at home with limited resources,” said Kristen Comer, Farmers HelpPoint® Communication Manager. “Our employees and agents always come through when called upon to assist in a food drive.”
Donations went to the Olathe Food Pantry as well as the Salvation Army. Additional donations will be made to the Olathe Community Food Pantry on Friday, February 25th. Farmers Insurance is the largest private employer in Olathe.
