Olathe, KS (December 13, 2011) – A Caravan of Giving motorcade led by the Farmers Insurance Mobile Claims Center (MCC) bus, which the company utilizes for emergency response after natural disasters, will deliver much-needed presents to the Olathe chapter of the Salvation Army on Wednesday, December 14, arriving at 10:00 a.m.
“Because of the nature of our business, our employees are naturally focused on service – I’m thrilled to see how their commitment to helping others manifests in an effort like this to serve our community,” said Vince Donofrio, Senior Vice President, Claims Shared Service for Farmers Insurance in Olathe.
Farmers employees in Olathe have adopted 105 families as part of the Salvation Army Adopt-a-Family Program being held this holiday season. Over $16,000 has been raised for this effort by Farmers employees. In addition, hundreds of volunteer hours have been expended for shopping, gift-wrapping and delivery of gifts for the local families.
The Caravan of Giving motorcade will depart the Farmers Olathe HelpPoint facility on 10551 S. Ridgeview Road at 9:30 a.m. Those wishing to donate additional gifts or to join the motorcade are encouraged to contact Nina Von Behren from Farmers at 913-227-2453.
